Healthy snacks will include fresh fruit, dried fruit, rice cakes, cheese, yoghurt, crackers, pita bread, vegetables and bread sticks. All snacks will depend on parental preference.


Children who are on a special diet can usually be accommodated; this will be discussed with parents and would be on an individual basis.

Children will be encouraged to develop good eating skills and table manners.

Children will be expected to sit at the table or in a highchair during mealtimes.

Parents can either provide their own food for their child or I can provide a home cooked hot meal at a small additional cost. This will be discussed at the initial meeting.

My fees include a healthy snack in the morning and a snack in the afternoon.

Food and milk for babies and toddlers under 12 months is to be provided by the parents and also for those with special dietary needs.

All snacks and drinks provided by myself will be nutritious, avoiding large quantities of fat, sugar, salt, additives, preservatives and colourings. A child’s personal and medical dietary requirements will be respected. The dietary rules of religious groups, vegetarians / vegans are known and met in appropriate ways. Milk provided for children will be semi-skimmed milk unless otherwise stated.

Drinking water is always available, milk, fruit juice, and low sugar cordials will also be available at meal and snack times.

I am able to provide a healthy home made meal for your child at lunch or supper time at an additional £1 per meal.

When preparing your child’s meal, I keep the following in mind:

  • Protein for growth
  • Carbohydrate for energy
  • Essential minerals and vitamins in raw foods, salads and fruit
